Mission Statement
The Mission of the Southern Region of APRI is to improve the quality of life for economically disadvantaged families by providing the necessary resources to improve their standard of living and foster self-improvement, self-empowerment and self-sufficiency. From its founding in 1965 to the present, the goal has been to fight for racial equality and economic justice. APRI’s expanded civil rights mission mirrors the far-sighted vision of its founders A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin to promote and advocate for social justice, full equality, and inclusion for all Americans regardless of any situation, circumstance, or indifference.
